Following the successful event of 2015, this year we will host the Winterfest once again. It will be held in the Lairg Community Centre on Saturday the 19th November (12 - 6 pm).  Already, we have nearly 40 exhibitors who have booked space, some of them coming back to Lairg for the second year.

Funding for the event has been secured, including a grant from Lairg Windfarm Community Fund, fundraising at the Crofter’s Show (we managed to raise £278 to help cover the cost of the reindeer! :)  and ring fenced profit from the last year event.

We will keep you informed of each stage of the project as it progresses. We have set up the Winterfest 2016 event on the LairgSutherland Facebook page where regular updates will be posted.

WINTERFEST 2015

We are delighted we have created this new event in Lairg's calendar and our aim now is to build from this success and bring everyone an even bigger and better Winterfest 2016.

Winterfest 2015 received financial support from Foundation Scotland.
We are hoping the concept will continue as a sustainable popular annual event.

The event took place in Lairg on the 21 of November 2015. It begun with the real live reindeer parade pulling Santa's sleigh from the bottom of the Main Street up to the Community Centre, where many attractions were waiting for the spectators.
